Val – Vocals
Raised in the “big city” of Middlesex, NC on gospel grit and “don’t-tell-dad” doses of rap and R&B, Valerie grew up singing along with all her radio faves and spent some time in church choir. After a decade of lending vocals and writing in an original inspirational band, a Berklee detour for a “quick” and painful bachelors degree, and a few solo releases, she enjoys family time with hubby, two daughters, and one lil’ grand nugget. Ultimately, hoping to fund her shopping addiction, she’s picking up a mic near you.
Bill – Guitar
Bill has played guitar pretty well for a variety of indie rock and ska bands in Nebraska and Florida, and played just okay for a few more. He has shared the bill with groups such as the Nixons, Buck-O-Nine, Evergreen Terrace, and Flickerstick, that one band from that game show on VH1.
When he’s not playing music, you can find him complaining about his unfinished novel, or designing those corporate training videos everyone hates.
Justin – Drums
Justin was formerly the lead singer / bassist of an original band for a decade based out of Washington, DC. After opening for artists such as Nine Days and Naughty by Nature, he was eventually let go for failing to overcome his gummy bear addiction. Now a father and resident of Raleigh, he’s hoping his street cred and ability to own the drums scores him some fine ladies or at least a hookup for free boba tea.
Tim – Bass
Tim is a bassist, guitarist, singer who has played in original alternate, punk, or church bands since late 90s. Now older and unable to tour, because he hates it, he plays in cover bands while looking for fun ways to pay for his three daughters dance competitions.
Audrey – Trombone/Keys/Vocals
Audrey has been playing the trombone since the age of 9. She grew up on a fruit farm in upstate NY and later realized that no sane person should have to put up with NY winters. When not playing her trombone or singing (locally or in NYC), she practices medicine as a PA, runs a small business, raises 3 kids, paints, and generally graces the world with her quirkiness.
Dave – Saxes/Keys/Vocals
Dave Ahern is the quintessential band geek of the 90s. Where’s Dave? He’s at band rehearsal…. or a jazz band concert…. or just hanging out in the band room. Whether it’s jazz, classical, rock covers, or church choir Dave’s been making music all his life. You scan spot Dave in his classic white high tops, Zubaz pants and inspirational D.A.R.E. shirt.
